Summary

Three things I learned while reading this:1: I am responsible for my feelings even during very traumatic experiences and if I have those feelings。。 I'm wrong。2: I know nothing except death is inevitable 3: I'm very glad I bought this at a thrift store。 Three things I learned while reading this:1: I am responsible for my feelings even during very traumatic experiences and if I have those feelings。。 I'm wrong。2: I know nothing except death is inevitable 3: I'm very glad I bought this at a thrift store。 。。。more

This was an excellent book。 It felt a little repetitive a few times, or I felt like a section didn't tie into a chapter。 But the ideas of this book will make you think about how you are living your life。 I found it very insightful。 This was an excellent book。 It felt a little repetitive a few times, or I felt like a section didn't tie into a chapter。 But the ideas of this book will make you think about how you are living your life。 I found it very insightful。 。。。more

Eye-rolled my way through this book。 Annoying, preachy, unoriginal。 Don't bother。 Eye-rolled my way through this book。 Annoying, preachy, unoriginal。 Don't bother。 。。。more

I enjoyed this book more after the author stopped dropping F-bombs twice per sentence as if it were an Olympic sport。 It is full of interesting stories and it gave me a lot to think about - some things I already knew, some I didn’t。 Overall a fun and quick f-ing read。 Lol

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I haven't read a book this impactful since "When Breath Became Air。" I took notes and really liked so much of what I heard。 The end was a little bit of a disappointment, in that basically in comes down to "will it really matter when you're dead?" The discussion of choosing/changing values and determining how much pain you are willing to sustain to support that value has made me think a lot。 The fact that Manson was in his mid-30s when he wrote this book irritated me a little, as did his admissio I haven't read a book this impactful since "When Breath Became Air。" I took notes and really liked so much of what I heard。 The end was a little bit of a disappointment, in that basically in comes down to "will it really matter when you're dead?" Kept me engaged with humour! I love to pick it up and read it over again when I’m down on inspiration。

Useful book on the following points:It plants in your mind the idea that you have to reconsider the dimension of your beliefs that are unconsciously factored into your actions。It directs you to the need to know the size of yourself and what you think it deserves。It is a thoughtful course on how to make smart choices in your life。

I love the overall message of this book。 It taught though even at such a young age that not everything in life is as important as we try to make them to be。 Only care for the things that are real and important rather than those things that people will most likely forget about in a few seconds。 I was able to dig deep and find some quotes and I was able to apply towards myself in which I know many others who have read this book have done the same because it is the truth。

A bit repetitive, but a great “self help” book。

I liked the last chapters more, language was simple, if this book is your first psychological book, it will be good choice。

I loved this book! Wish it had more tangible concepts to guide me to these enlightenments but honestly love how casual and honest it is without being overly abrupt or mean。

5 Stars Learning to Live a Good LifeIf you can stand the potty mouth author (his words) and the use of the F word, you will find some keen insights to live a good life。 There are some things you should not care about。 And there are some things you need to care about。 How do you decide what those things are。 Read the book to find out。

Life changing! This book can change the way we set ourselves to be。 Brutally honest, just the way we need it。 Amazing how it can caught you up。

Good points but it was very repetitive and mostly common sense - also the author seems like a bit of an ass

My favorite quote: Problems may be inevitable, but the meaning of each problem is not。I was hesitant to start the book because the author's career seemed to lack experiences that would allow one to accumulate enough knowledge/wisdom to hand out life advices。 His career consists of mostly blogging and writing self-help books from what I read in the book and also what I could find online。I gave the book a try nonetheless given that it is a short book that seems to have been getting enough view in My favorite quote: Problems may be inevitable, but the meaning of each problem is not。I was hesitant to start the book because the author's career seemed to lack experiences that would allow one to accumulate enough knowledge/wisdom to hand out life advices。 His career consists of mostly blogging and writing self-help books from what I read in the book and also what I could find online。I gave the book a try nonetheless given that it is a short book that seems to have been getting enough view in last couple of years。Overall, I think it is a good book to read if you haven't read a self-help book before。 The author tells you life advices like one of your lifetime friend would。 You probably already know advices given in the book, but at the same you likely haven't been following them because they never really 'clicked' for you。 And the author does a great job telling them in a way that it sticks to you。 。。。more

This moment I picked up this book (last year) I KNEW & I FELT the difference from any other text I’ve read, EVER。 This is the first book that I know made an impact on my psicology and my way of thinking, because of its essence of sincerity in terms of life, love, work, friends and even death (not in a triggering way)。 So, so good and engaging for a self-help book not only to have a stronger and better mindset, but to understand it and yourself。👌👌👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
